Showing Gratitude for our Blessings
Luke 17: 15-16 says “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.” When thinking about this story I thought, is there any reason why the other 9 did not go Back to show gratitude? I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and believe that there are always 2 sides to the story. There may be parts we are missing perhaps. I thought maybe they were skeptics? Maybe they did not know or believe they had been healed? Or maybe they did give thanks, but in private? I’m not sure. Then I read earlier on in the story Luke 17: 12-14; “And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off; And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!
